FAQ
1. What does home care and home health cover?

Home health services cover professional care delivered in the patient’s own home, such as physician visits, nursing care (IV fluids, injections, wound care), blood sampling and tests, physiotherapy and medical device support.

2. Who can benefit from home care?

Bedridden patients, people recovering from surgery, older adults, people with chronic conditions and anyone who has difficulty getting to a hospital.

3. Is home health care safe?

Yes, when it is provided by a center licensed by the Ministry of Health. In licensed home health centers, care is delivered under the supervision of a responsible physician, by qualified and licensed staff, following hygiene rules. We recommend asking for the provider’s license before receiving care.

4. Can I call home health services in an emergency?

Home health services usually involve scheduled, planned medical care. In life-threatening emergencies that need immediate intervention, call 112 first.

5. How long is the service? Can I only get daily care?

The duration depends entirely on the patient’s medical needs and treatment plan. Hourly companion care, single procedures (such as an IV drip), and daily, weekly or monthly long-term care can be provided.

6. Is physiotherapy and rehabilitation available at home?

Yes. Physiotherapists working in licensed home health centers provide sessions at home for neurological conditions (such as stroke), recovery after orthopaedic surgery, or age-related mobility limitations.

7. How can I be sure the staff are qualified?

Staff at our member centers are doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and care technicians whose diplomas are recognised by the Ministry of Health and who hold the required professional certificates.

8. Do home health staff only perform medical procedures?

In addition to medical care, a holistic approach is taken that includes personal care (bed bath, positioning), nutrition monitoring, psychological support and home care training for family members.

9. Can medical equipment be rented or supplied at home?

Yes. Equipment that may be needed at home, such as oxygen concentrators, hospital beds, air mattresses and suction devices, can be supplied or rented through our member centers.

10. How do I apply for home care?

You can contact the licensed centers on our Member Centers list directly. You can also reach our association through the form on our contact page or by phone for guidance.
